Top Model raises funds for charity

Vision Xchange (VX) hosted the seventh annual Hopkins Top Model competition on Monday, Nov. 21. Caitlin Hoff, a sophomore from the Pi Beta Phi sorority, and Drew Daniels, a sophomore from the men’s cross-country team, were the winners. This year’s proceeds went to Safe Passage, a Guatemalan organization that operates programs to provide medical care, food, clothing and education to all types of people living in Guatemala City.

Iowa-born Tanner Liechty was no different — until he spent a year in Barreiras, in the state of Bahia, Brazil. Liechty, a member of the class of 2015, decided to take a year off after his senior year at Mount Pleasant Community High School in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

Tech Store offers warranty support

The Hopkins Technology Store, located in Krieger 160, now offers Apple and Dell warranty support. The warranty service, provided through IT@JH Technical Assistance, comes with no additional cost since IT@JH also services other University-owned hardware. Graham Bouton, the Technical Support Services Manager of the Technology Store, explained that the store acquired the certification requirements necessary to become an authorized warranty provider.
